About Us
Panduan Menopaus is a bilingual education resource for Malaysian women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. We write honestly, with citations, and without false promises.
Why this site exists
Many Bahasa Malaysia menopause resources are still too generic, too clinical, or missing the realities Malaysian women face when they seek care, read product labels, compare halal information, and talk to doctors. We believe Malaysian women deserve guidance that uses local terminology, understands tropical-climate hot flashes, accounts for halal status on supplements, and respects public and private healthcare pathways.
Editorial team
Who we are and are not
We collect, organize and explain menopause information using primary sources and Malaysian context. We do not provide medical care, sell consultations, or hide when a page has not yet received independent clinical review.
What sets us apart
- Primary sources only: every claim cites PubMed, Cochrane, the North American Menopause Society, the International Menopause Society, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Ministry of Health Malaysia, MyHEALTH, the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Malaysia, or the National Institutes of Health Malaysia.
- Halal status flagged: every supplement is tagged halal/bovine-flag/porcine-flag/unknown. We don't assume halal without evidence.
- Product registration numbers: MAL registration numbers shown when available; "not registered with Malaysia's National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency" when not.
- Affiliate disclosure: this is an educational resource site. We use Shopee affiliate links on some product recommendations and may earn a small commission from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not influence our recommendations or evidence-based rankings.
- Cultural context: Ramadan, Malay cultural sensitivities, and Malaysian women's lived experience inform the writing.
Not a substitute for a doctor
Information here is educational only. Consult a specialist (obstetrics and gynaecology, endocrinology, women's health) before treatment decisions, especially regarding hormone replacement therapy or prescription medication.
