Insulin Resistance in menopause
Insulin resistance is when body cells become less responsive to insulin, causing blood sugar to rise. More common postmenopause due to estrogen loss + abdominal fat. Type 2 diabetes risk rises. Prevention: low refined-sugar diet, resistance training, omega-3, magnesium.
