Menopause in menopause
Menopause is the point in a woman's life when she has gone 12 consecutive months without menstruation, marking the end of ovulation. Average age of menopause for Malaysian women is 49-51 years. Menopause is a retrospective diagnosis - you only know you've reached it after the 12-month no-period window has completed. After this point, you are technically in postmenopause for the rest of your life.
