Vaginal Lubricant in menopause
Vaginal lubricant is a product used during intercourse to reduce friction from dryness. Three types: water-based (condom-compatible, easy to clean, needs reapplication), silicone-based (lasts longer, non-absorbing), and oil-based (NOT compatible with latex condoms). For menopausal women with GSM, lubricant only helps in the moment; vaginal moisturiser provides daily moisture and vaginal estrogen treats the root cause.
