Menopausal Hormone Therapy (MHT) in menopause
Synonyms: hormone replacement therapy
Menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) is the modern term for hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It is increasingly common in international clinical guidelines because it is more specific (menopause-related hormones) than the broader term HRT. For practical purposes, MHT and HRT refer to the same treatment. Persatuan Obstetrik dan Ginekologi Malaysia and North American Menopause Society guidelines now use MHT widely.
